Our Story
A lifelong passion for the keris
Tosan Aji began with a simple question: where can someone learn about the keris from people who truly know it? Knowledge about pamor, dapur and tangguh was scattered across old manuscripts, private collections and the memories of a few remaining masters.
We bring that knowledge together in one place. We work with empus, collectors, researchers and museums to document every pamor and dapur, record the stories of living masters, and make it possible to own an authentic keris with confidence.
Everything we publish is researched and reviewed, because the keris deserves accuracy and respect.
A keris is not just iron and steel. It carries the intention of its maker and the hopes of everyone who keeps it.
Our Mission
To document, preserve and share the knowledge of the Indonesian keris, so that its meaning, craft and philosophy remain alive for future generations.
Our Vision
To be the world's most trusted home of the keris: a living archive where scholars, collectors, empus and the curious meet.
Our Values
Authenticity, respect for tradition, careful research, and openness to everyone who wants to learn about tosan aji.
